A gear blank is the cylindrical starting body from which gear teeth are formed. A parametric script can define outside diameter, bore, thickness, hub, and keyway notes, but a blank does not include an involute tooth profile, backlash, strength, quality grade, or manufacturing allowance.
Gear Blank Script Generator applies this concept to its defined inputs and workflow. It is designed to generate editable CAD script text for a simple gear blank disk with bore, optional hub, and optional keyway note; it does not generate involute teeth.
The generator organizes typed dimensions, script target selection, browser-local form state, and gear blank into editable script text, parameter summary, concept preview, and Markdown summary for inspection and editing. The selected units and sign or reference conventions must describe one consistent physical case. Generated text remains a starting point that must be checked in the target documentation, CAD, code, or solver workflow. ScholarTool does not run FreeCAD, CadQuery, OpenSCAD, Python, CAD kernels, shell commands, or generated scripts.
